regard.

2. (I b) Competence of the Accused. Rounding-up,
Deportation, Extermination.

3. (I c) Orders for Extermination to Local Police
Headquarters and Central Offices in Vienna, Prague, and
Berlin.

While Eichmann himself was in charge of Central Offices
(Zentralstellen), those served only for emigration. After
he became Section Head at the Head Office for Reich
Security, he gave directions to them, under orders
concerning deportation, as received by him.

Means of Proof:

38. T/742 – Document 1280
39. T/730 – Document 1278
40. T/139 – Document 1663

4. (I d) Acting through BdS (Senior Commander of the
Security Police) and Specialists for Jewish Affairs

The Department Heads at the Head Office for Reich Security
were entitled to give directions to the BdS on matters
within their competence. However, the BdS, on his part, was
subordinate to the Higher SS and Police Leader, who was
himself not subordinate to the Head Office for Reich
Security, but directly to Himmler. The Accused issued
provisional directions to the Specialist for Jewish Affairs
at the BdS, but these were converted into specific
operations by the office of the BdS.

Means of Proof:

41. T/98 – Document 554
For further means of proof, see under I k.
