I think that the Slovak Government has finally got fed up with all the
low-life types who were fouling up their tourist sites!!!
If tourists do not even have the cash or credit to afford $15 a day for
expenses, then they are not real tourists, but rather welfare bums.
The regulation did not say that you had to SPEND the $15 daily, but from
my experience in that part of the world, one could live moderately on
US$15 a day.
The Slovak government did provide for the use of credit cards, letters of
support from friends in the country and so on.
Quite frankly,I doubt that it will have much impact on North Americans. It
will reduce the numbers of Poles,Ukranians,Russians and the like who to
many Slovaks, were undesirables in any case.
Why not have similar rules for all cross border visitors even those
crossing the US-Canada borders?Except that we would have to use around
$100 daily as a reasonable cost factor.
Then we could keep out all the welfare bums and illegal workers from each
other’s countries.
Let’s really get some considered discussion going on the topic of whether
countries should have minimum cash requirements before allowing
foreigners to enter their borders.

I am not sure why you are attacking me.To add insult to injury, I left
Britain because of prigs such as you.
I have visited the Czech Republic and Slovakia recently, and I applaud
their policies of trying to keep the riff raff out of their
countries. They have enough crime problems without importing more indigents.
In many countries, including the USA,Canada, and most of western Europe,if
you fail to have visible means of support at the border – consisting of
cash adequate for your stay, you are denied entry.
Since communism has failed, why should the rest of the world be providing
welfare to foreigners who enter their borders? That is the main reason for
implementing cash requirements of foreigners, which quite frankly makes sense.
Let’s hear from some more people, whether in the uSa, G.B> or elesewhere.
Should your country bar entry to people who don’t have enough money with
them to pay for their stay?Is $15 a day enough,or should it be
more, particularly in most of the civilised world?

and South America, most of South East Asia,as well as Australia,New

I am a professional businessman, and an owner of a travel agency among my
holdings.
It seems that some politically correct types seem to be offended by
certain true statements with which they personally disagree.
Since my comments related to TRAVEL,and the policies of sensible
governments as to whom they should admit, perhaps those critical will
confine themselves to comments about travel.
After all, will you be commenting next on the travel policies of Singapore
and malaysia, where it is an automatic death sentence for possession of
any drugs, even if you are white?

I do not understand your critical commentary.I have lived and worked, and
also operated many businesses in many countries on this earth. For you to
accuse me,whom you definitely do not know,of bigotry shows how ignorant
you are. That I am intolerant of some subhuman types, such as homosexuals
spreading AIDS was not mentioned in my comments regarding a State’s legal
right to restrict admission across its’ borders to those whom it
prefers, which is a right entrenched in international law,and in fact
recognised by all nations.

I was born in central Europe, lived in many European Countries, have lived
and worked and owned businesses in many countries in South East Asia,as
well as the USA and Canada.
I travel extensively, since I am the CEO of an international group of
companies, one of which is also a travel agency.
My comments are based on my own experiences, having lived and worked all
over the world.
Hopefully the above explanation is what you wanted?
Regards,Bill.
