own choices as far nobler than forcing her to conform to a stereotyped
role.

I find it interesting that PP is so often vilified by pro-lifers
(almost as much the NRA [they must be doing _something_ right!] is by
the gun control lobby)* as evil abortion-promoters — and yet by
promoting contraception, they are obviously _preventing_ abortions.
Could it be that it’s contraception that some of these pro-lifers
really hate? If abortion is banned, can contraception be far behind?
* Yes, I’m pro-choice on _both_ issues, guns _and_ abortion!

What if the government forced _you_ to give up _your_ career to

You’ve been sold some prime real estate in Antarctica on that one. The
attack on “activist judges” was invented by the ANTI-individual,
“pro-family”, “Moral Majority”, totalitarian element in the Republican
party to smear judges like William O. Douglas, Hugo Black, Harry
Blackmun, John Paul Stevens, etc., for upholding our individual
Constitutional rights, such as privacy and free speech. The
totalitarians want the government to ban homosexuality, abortion,
contraception, pornography, etc., and they don’t want the courts to
stand in the way of that agenda. They want the Prez to appoint only
jerks like that scumbag Robert Bork who will sit on their hands and say
“oh, well, you don’t really have a right to privacy” or “well, the
First Amendment doesn’t really protect pornography.” The attack on
“judicial activism” is totally ANTI-libertarian. (See Stephen Macedo’s

He’s a totalitarian scumbag who denies individual rights.
The Tenth Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by
the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to
the States respectively, _or to the people_.”
The Ninth Amendment: “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain
rights, shall _not_ be construed to deny or disparage others retained
by _the people_.”
The Second Amendment: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to
the security of a _free_ [IOW, not socialist] State, the right of _the
people_ to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
(emphasis mine)
“States’ rights” is a fraud. Neither state nor federal governments
have rights, only _delegated_ and stringently _limited_ powers. Only
“the people” _as individuals_ have rights. State legislatures do not
own us. We are not their property.
> Judges who go beyond the intent of the law are usurping the powers

The will of the majority _should_ be thwarted whenever it infringes on
individual rights.

1 1/2 million abortions a year is a lot of abortions. It would also be
a lot of adoptions.

I note that the noisiest pro-lifers are not too noisy about promoting
effective contraception. Quite the opposite.
