But we've been over this "both sides" stuff already, in the last month even. I invite the curious reader to point his or her web browser to http://community.zdnet.com/discuss/bin/nph-declare.cgi?mag=storyboard&type=showTopic&topic=Is%20there%20a%20place%20for%20hate%20groups%20online%3F where he or she may learn how Mr. Raven feels about showing people both sides of the story. Here are some highlights from our little discussion three weeks ago (minus the HTML links which provided documention of what I was saying): From: Greg Raven (firstname.lastname@example.org) Date: Tue Jul 23 23:31:53 EDT 1996 ...too many people are ignorant, and allow others to make up their minds for them. Don't be one of those people! Read about ALL sides of the Holocaust story. Rabbi Cooper at the Simon Wiesenthal Center doesn't believe you are smart enough to deal with revisionism. What do YOU think? From: Jamie McCarthy (email@example.com) Date: Fri Jul 26 18:14:48 EDT 1996 Greg Raven writes: As Ms Caruso pointed out, too many people are ignorant, and allow others to make up their minds for them. Don't be one of those people! Read about ALL sides of the Holocaust story. Mr. Raven, if you are truly interested in having people read about "all sides of the Holocaust story," put your HTML where your mouth is. The Nizkor Project has a longstanding policy of cross-linking from a document on our site to a document on "revisionist" sites, when it is appropriate to do so. For example, looking at our 66 QAR feature alone, we link to the IHR's web site from the index, and QARs 1, 2, 13, 19, 29, 32, 51, 62, and 66. Your IHR web site not only does not provide a link to Nizkor, but you have ignored repeated requests to do so, over a period of more than a year. See, for example, my reply to a page on your site. If you think people should "read about all sides," Mr. Raven, why do you pretend that Nizkor does not exist? Would you like to prove that you're not afraid of what will happen when people "read about all sides"? Post a pledge, here and now, to put a link to Nizkor at the same place you link to your other sites, as Nizkor does, and to cross-link related documents when it is appropriate to do so. Mr. Raven's response to this was ... silence. I repeat my challenge, Mr. Raven: put your HTML where your mouth is.
