Alberta appeals Keegstra ruling

The Canadian Press
Edmonton

Alberta is appealing a ruling on convincted hate-mongerer Jim Keegstra
to the Supreme Court of Canada, Justice Minister Ken Rostad said
today.

The government is sending the case to the highest court on a legal
technicality.

The Alberta Court of Appeal ruled earlier this month that a second
conviction against Keegstra for promoting hatred against Jews should
be overturned.

Keegstra was fired from teaching for telling his students the Nazi
Holocaust that killed six million Jews in the Second World War was a
hoax.
