The expedition, led by eye witnesses to the war-crimes and organized by the Egyptian newspaper _al-Ahram_, found human remains in shallow graves at an air-base and a desert valley near the coastal town of el-Arish. One eye-witness, former sergeant Abdessalam Moussa, who guided the expedition to the air- base grave site said he was present when Israeli soldiers massacred a large number of Egyptian prisoners by firing squad on June 7, 1967. "I saw a line of prisoners, civilians and military, and they opened fire on them all at once. When they were dead they told us to bury them." he said. At the other site in the Midan valley Bedouin witnesses guided the expedition to the site of another mass-execution where Israeli troops murdered 30 unarmed Egyptians. Allegations of these crimes have long been a strain on relations between Egypt and Israel. This hard evidence coupled with last months' statement by an Israeli historian that Israeli soldiers executed prisoners during the 1967 war has led the Egyptian government to demand an investigation and trial of those responsible. Israel has issued a statement claiming that it cannot try people for crimes committed more than twenty years ago. (?!!) Editor's Note - Yet they are perfectly comfortable trying persons for "crimes" committed more than fifty years ago. =========== Written By Rick Knight ANA Editor-In-Chief From bf221@FreeNet.Carleton.CA Thu Sep 21 17:11:35 PDT 1995 Article: 3478 of alt.politics.white-power Newsgroups: alt.politics.white-power,alt.politics.nationalism.white Path: nizkor.almanac.bc.ca!news.island.net!news.bctel.net!kryten.awinc.com!laslo.netnet.net!netnet2.netnet.net!news.sprintlink.net!howland.reston.ans.net!torn!nott!cunews!freenet.carleton.ca!FreeNet.Carleton.CA!bf221 From: bf221@FreeNet.Carleton.CA (Rick Knight) Subject: ANA News -- Evidence Of Israeli Atrocities Found Message-ID: Sender: bf221@freenet2.carleton.ca (Rick Knight) Reply-To: bf221@FreeNet.Carleton.CA (Rick Knight) Organization: The National Capital FreeNet Date: Thu, 21 Sep 1995 18:35:41 GMT Lines: 55 Xref: nizkor.almanac.bc.ca alt.politics.white-power:3478 alt.politics.nationalism.white:2547 Evidence Of Israeli Atrocities Found In Egypt An Egyptian expedition to the site of a mass execution of prisoners by Israelis during the 1967 Middle East war has turned up evidence of two mass graves.
