Not so. Revisionist books are characterized by internal coherence, lack 
of emotionality, resort to documentary and physical evidence, etc. It is 
the holohuggers who consistently rely on emotionally loaded arguments,

It seems to me that nearly everyone has become lost in the extreme 
subtlety of all this. In the first place, you may be very sure that 
Salinger is not acting alone. This is an announcement by the French 
secret service, Salinger is the messenger, that is all. The document that 
Salinger puts forward as proof of his statement is nothing more than a 
boarding pass for beginning a serious investigation of the Flight 800 
disaster by the French government. It doesn't matter if on the face of it 
the document seems to be meaningless, it has very clearly rattled the 
U.S. Navy (why, if it is so innocent?), the FBI, and etc. Apparently the 
French take seriously those 100+ eye witnesses of a missile trail 
streaking toward the 747. I'm sure they already have much other evidence 
as well which they deem more prudent to keep under wraps at this moment. 
Anyone who thinks the French are stupid, think again. The French 
commander in the Gulf war refused to allow his troops to take the 
untested pills and shots that were forced onto American and British 
troops. The French veterans now do NOT have ANY Gulf War Illness. I 
suggest that French intelligence told the commander to say, "Merci, mais 
non." They knew it was a bad idea. It would not surprise me at all to 
find that now they know things about the downing of Flight 800 that the 
U.S. government wants to keep under wraps for political reasons. H. Ayre.

Neither do I, but not only do the facts tend to support this thesis, 
including the 100+ witnesses who saw something streaking toward the 747, 
but the behaviour of the government agencies seem to me to be screaming 
"We did it, we did it, but we'll be damned if we're going to do a public 
mea culpa."  H. Ayre.
