How do I know? MLK, the main public library in the District, has a microfilm collection of the WASHINGTON DAILY NEWS. Ah, there's January 8, 1949. Ah, there's January 10, 1949. Oops, there's nothing inbetween. I checked with the librarian in the newspaper section to see if the paper's Sundays were stored elsewhere. She replied that they were not, and that as she recalled, that title had no Sunday edition in the 60s, either. >Then obtain a copy of the SUNDAY PICTORIAL and eat your words asshole. As should have been evident by my post, I don't have easy access to all British periodicals, if indeed there was such a periodical as the SUNDAY PICTORIAL. In any case, I simply pointed out that the WASHINGTON DAILY NEWS cite was bogus, since the WASHINGTON DAILY NEWS did not appear on the date shown. What was *your* source, Kurtzi? Who gave you those cites?
