Many thanks. I will contact the National Archives next week to discuss
whether the owners of this tape will permit us to analyse it. If they
answer in the affirmative I will take legal advice on your proposal and
we will contact either you or Mr Edeiken. If they reply in the negative,
I will contact you and we can take it from there. There's no sense in
speculating about the tape if the technology exists to settle the matter
once and for all.
