You've published Dr. Toeben's wild speculations and lies about me at:
http://www.codoh.com/viewpoints/vpoltobenxms.html
His piece begins by quoting me:
As long as you respect those wishes of mine, you are welcome
to publish your wild speculations and your lies about me.
I also wrote on 12/24 -- and he didn't quote this part --
In fact, please do _not_ use paraphrases or quotes from my email
unless you either include complete quotes from me on the subject
in question, or provide a link to a complete copy of that email
I wrote.
Naturally, he did not respect my wishes; naturally, you have not
respected my wishes; naturally, you haven't told me about it but have
waited for me to hear about it from someone else; naturally, I now have
to write you to correct this matter. Same old same old.
You refer to our "five day email correspondence" in the very first line
of your web page above. I have collected the correspondence in full,
at:
http://www.nizkor.org/ftp.cgi?orgs/australian/adelaide-institute/xmas-96-letters
Please link from the words "five day email correspondence" to that URL,
or to a copy of the data at that URL.
Thank you.

When email is opened here, the window comes up small, showing only the
heading and maybe a sentence or two of the message. This is the only part of
your message which appeared:
>You've published Dr. Toeben's (sic) wild speculations and lies about >me at:
That's also as far as it was necessary to read. Abrasive or combative email
is routinely discarded, as there are far better ways to spend the time than
wasting it on something which so obviously advertises a lack of intent to
communicate. Please don't waste your time and ours with email of this sort
in the future. If you wish to send a civil message, it will be responded to
in kind. The opposite case does not apply now, nor will it apply at any time
in the future.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Let me then excerpt the important part.

For what it's worth, that email was not written in anger. Exasperation
is closer but even that overstates the case. Ninety percent of civility
is tone; you might think me more civil if you knew that I take little
personally and usually adopt a wry approach to this whole thing.
BTW, "Toeben" is the correct spelling unless his web page is incorrectly
umlauting his name.
