Foreigners and Gypsies are the most frequent victims of Skinhead assaults. On March 26, 1994, a large gang of Skinheads attacked members of the Gypsy community in Pleven. The Skins reportedly beat several people and set one house on fire. The 1994 Human Rights Report of the U.S. Department of State reports that Skinheads in Ruse attacked parishioners attending services at the Bulgarian Church of God. Eight people were seriously injured. The youth wing of a group calling itself the Bulgarian National Socialist Party claimed responsibility for the distribution of pro-Hitler leaflets at a university in the summer of 1993, but it is not clear whether the organization has any connection with the Skinheads.(Anti-Defamation League, 19) Work Cited Anti-Defamation League.
