Buchenwald concentration camp and its subcamps report 15,477
male Jewish prisoners and 11,457 female Jewish prisoners for
1944; these numbers include two thousand Jews who died in
Buchenwald and its subsidiary camps. (USHMM, 1994, p. 70)
