1943

A transport of 750 Dutch Jews is sent from the Westerbork
transit camp to the killing center of Sobibor in Poland.
During the next three weeks, four more transports with 3,000
Jews depart for Sobibor. (USHMM, 1993. Pg. 19)

1944

Several hundred Spanish Jews deported from Greece to Bergen-
Belsen are repatriated to Spain. (USHMM, 1994. Pg. 25)

Victor Basch, age eighty-two, present of the prewar League
of the Rights of Man, and his wife, Helene, age eighty, are
murdered in Lyon. (Ibid.)
