The Commanding Officer of a German Einsatzgruppen unit
praises, then justifies, activities such as the shooting of
Hungarian Jews, including the shooting of children, and the
destruction of villages by burning. Hower, in order "not to
obstruct the procuring of slave labor for the German
armament industry," he ordered that "as a rule no more
children will be shot." (3012-PS) (NCA II, 381)
