"SOAP FROM HUMAN BODIES
At Wrzeszcz near Gdansk(Danzig) a German Factory producing soap from
human bodies and a tannery of human skins were discovered in the Institute
of Hygene. The following photographs were taken on May 8th in the presence
of a Commission composed of representatives of the military authorities,
physicians, journalists etc. and attested by protocol."
The photographs are labelled:
The building of the Institute of Hygene at Wrzeszcz
Vat filled with tanned human skin
The soap factory
Body of a sailor with tattoo on chest representing a ship and the inscription
"God is with us, Polish Navy. "Wicher" 1930"
Tank in which human bodies were boiled. On the bar is seen a piece of human
flesh
Vat in which the bodies were soaked. On the shelves are seen skulls and bones
The incinerator in which the reamains were burnt
Vat with bodies soaked in caustic
Saop made from human bodies, and the moulds
The Polish Monthly Review was an English language magazine and:
"Printed in Poland by the "Drukarnia Narodowa" in Cracow, published by
the "Polish Monthly Review" Cracow, Dluga 6, Edited by Jan Stanislawski,
Lecturer in the University of Cracow."
